Today I bumped into someone I had never chatted to about photography and she was very touched by a couple's wedding pictures she saw. It was fascinating to hear her take on how she thought the images spoke of beauty.
Its funny the things I find interesting on a wedding day. Sometimes its the most seemingly insignificant things or something draws me to itself.
In this frame, I noticed how emotional two more mature old friends got when looking at the bride's ring (she was one of them). None of their faces are really in the image, but you can see by her body language and intensity how she wishes this bride the very best in her marriage.
I try to create depth in an image and only really get to do so in a second or two and the moment is gone. If you're interested; I noticed her make a gasp which you can see as her hair curls down gracefully, the fact that the ring has humility on the pair's wrinkled hands, the way the light was shining down through the trees and the horseshoe on her arm someone had just given the bride wishing her luck.
Every picture should tell a story.
